Abstract

Vietnam’s textile and garment industry has made rapid progress in recent years but is still facing great difficulties. The supply of raw materials and machine depends heavily on foreign countries. The quality of the supplier has an important influence on the competitiveness of a business. Therefore, supplier selection is becoming increasingly important for all businesses around the globe. Choosing a supplier is a complex decision that can lower the procurement costs and increase profits without increasing the cost or quality of the product. The purpose of this study is to propose appropriate solutions for a textile company to determine the criteria and importance of the selection criteria, and to set the pattern of allocation of orders. Optimal for businesses. In this study, the method used to select the supplier was the Fuzzy Analytic Network Process (FANP) method to evaluate the performance and supplier ratings. Then use the Goal Programming model (GP) to optimize the allocation of orders. The research has successfully created a hybrid MCDM model, using Fuzzy ANP and goal programming, to assist the supplier evaluation and selection process in the garment industry. Results from the case study show that the model is feasible. The proposed approach can also be used in combination with other MCDM models to better support the decision maker.
